Terry Habeck, Founder and CEO
Terry is the founder of Aviation Concepts and a highly experienced pilot with over 30 years experience managing business jets for a well-known Japanese auto manufacturer whose flight department he relocated to Guam from Long Beach, California in 1999. Terry was also responsible for Aviation Concepts’ certification of both an FAA Part 135 air carrier charter operation and an FAA Part 145 Maintenance Repair Station. Terry also is the holder of an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot license. In his spare time Terry enjoys spending time with his wife Lynn and two dogs, Bobby and Rusty.
Yxel Espina, General Manager
As the General Manager of Guam’s premier Fixed Base Operator (FBO), X is a seasoned leader with over two decades of experience in transportation and logistics. A retired U.S. Air Force veteran “Port Dawg” and certified FAA drone pilot, X has managed diverse teams across global operations, ensuring mission-critical success under tight deadlines. Known for delivering innovative solutions and exceptional customer experiences, the Team excels at planning, coordinating, and executing complex logistics projects.
Throughout his career, X has demonstrated a commitment to excellence, managing multimillion-dollar operations, optimizing processes, and fostering collaborative team environments. With expertise spanning in air transportation, hazardous materials handling, drone operations, and global mobility, he brings a strategic vision to every challenge.
What truly defines X is his love for his family, which serves as the foundation for his drive and success. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, fishing, traveling, and spending quality time with his loved ones. Committed to lifelong learning, he continuously explores opportunities to grow, staying educated across all facets of life.
Marites “Tez” Schmidt, Facility Manager
Tez is an essential part of the Aviation Concepts family, bringing energy, adaptability, and expertise to everything she does as one of our managers. She wears many hats, from expertly managing office finances to navigating HR matters with care and keeping communication seamless with our clients. Her proactive approach and sharp attention to detail ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
But Tez doesn’t stop there – she’s as hands-on as they come! You’ll often find her jumping in to support our ground handling crew during aircraft operations, proving her deep knowledge of the industry and her unwavering commitment to teamwork. Whether she’s coordinating logistics or rolling up her sleeves on the tarmac, Tez truly embodies the collaborative spirit that makes Aviation Concepts shine.
When she’s not keeping things running smoothly at work, Tez channels her energy into her passion for health and fitness. She’s a regular at 5K and 10K races around the island, where she thrives on the challenge and camaraderie of the local running community. Whether tackling a scenic Tumon run or pushing herself in a competitive race, Tez’s drive, positivity, and love for connection perfectly reflect the dedication and enthusiasm she brings to her role every day.
Thomas Delgado, Ground Support Manager
Thomas Delgado brings over 37 years of aviation experience, beginning as a Fleet Service Representative in Honolulu in 1987. Over his career, he has worked with major airlines such as Northwest Airlines, Continental Micronesia, United Airlines, and Allegiant Air in roles spanning reservations, passenger services, ramp handling, deicing, and customer care. Notably, Thomas served as a liaison for the U.S. Department of Transportation during his time with ExpressJet Airlines.
Returning to Guam in 2017, Thomas joined the Guam International Airport Authority, where he advanced to Airport Operations Supervisor, ensuring safety compliance and operational excellence.
Thomas enjoys traveling, water activities, and spending time with family and friends. Known for his passion for aviation and commitment to service, Thomas is a key member of our team, dedicated to providing exceptional support to private charter and military clients.
Joey Martin, Ground Support Specialist
Joey has been an integral part of Aviation Concepts’ ground support team, quickly establishing himself as a standout leader on the ramp. His exceptional work ethic and proactive approach, whether tackling late-night operations or early-morning challenges, have made him an indispensable asset to the team. Flight crews consistently commend Joey for his ability to deliver seamless “quick turn” services, ensuring passengers experience the highest level of efficiency and care.
Joey’s versatility extends beyond the ramp; he frequently steps up to provide operational and basic maintenance support for our hangar clients, demonstrating his broad skill set and willingness to go the extra mile.
